A great project succeeded to provide online access for statistics for counts and measurements in descriptive and analytic studies. OpenEpi is a statistical analysis on line via using any internet browsers e.g. internet explorer, google chrome …etc. also it can run without a web connection or downloaded which can replace the regular Epi Info which was first released in 1985 using Microsoft DOS operating system then by 2000 when starting to operate Epi Info in Microsoft windows operating system

The programs have an open source license and can be easily downloaded. Some of the components from other sources have licensing statements in the source code files. The team set the goals for that program to be:
• Run programs
• Platform independence
• Provide  tested programs by using a common interface
• Open Source approach
• facilitate interaction between epidemiologists and others in development
You can easily choose which method you want to use the open info

Web access:

Open www.openepi.com then choose a program, enter data, then click Calculate to see the results ,Select all or part of the results by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Ctrl-C or Edit|Copy will copy to the clipboard ,Ctrl-V or Edit|Paste to other program, e.g. Word or Excel
Download to Your Desktop
Choose Download from the menu , Save the zip file or open it from the web , Unzip and leave the files in the same relative directories , Click on Index.htm, run it from the browser, or execute it from Start |run Create a desktop icon for future use, using (in Windows) right-click and Send to | Desktop
Choosing a Statistical Method
If you are not sure which module to use , you can simply use the Choosing a Method entry on the menu , Find the type of data you have and see what methods are appropriate , Each cell in the table will perform an on-line search using Google.com when you click on the text Entering Data
In any application, choose Enter New Data to enter your own data or Load Demo Data for one of the samples described in the Exercises link , If asked, give the number of columns or rows needed , Use either the Enter , and up and down arrow to move . Movement across screen till press the down-arrow , after that until the first mouse click is vertically.
The menu contain a very useful links like searching internet via built in Google search page and PubMed plus a plenty of search links that can provide a very wide range of internet links for statistical programs
