 The International society of Infectious diseases (ISID) is highly concerned about what is happening in the West Africa of Ebola outbreak during 2014 that the world celebrating this week the 6 month of its start, they announced a great opportunity of sponsoring a limited number of travel grants to individuals who are attending one of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Ebola Safety Training Courses. These courses will help in preparing healthcare personnel to provide medical care to Ebola patients in an established Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) with no harm to him/herself or others remember Safety first so you need to attend CDC Ebola Safety Training Courses by a Travel Grants

The provided CDC 3 days Ebola Safety Training Course will start by Oct 6, 2014 and the schedule will extend till the end of this year 2014. Although the courses are free of charge and open to healthcare workers from all over the world, interested participants have to pay for their own travel to the course in Alabama, USA. The accepted HCWs for the CDC Ebola Safety Training Course and will be deployed to work in the affected countries in West Africa after completing this course  will be eligible for The funding provided by the International society of Infectious Diseases. Travel grants of $500 each will be awarded to US residents and $1000 to residents of other countries. To apply for the Grant Click Here

Eligibility:

Travel grant recipients must be:

  • Licensed clinicians (e.g., nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers)
  • Admitted to one of the CDC Ebola Safety Training Courses
  • Planning, upon completion of the course, to deploy to West Africa as part of a group, such as an NGO or a Government agency

 

Deadlines:

Applications will be accepted at any time on a rolling basis and ending when the designated fund is fully expended.
