It was estimated that about one third of the world’s population is infected with tuberculosis (TB) bacteria (Almost 1.7 billion people), only small proportion of those infected peoples will become sick with TB. People with weakened immune systems have a much higher risk of acquiring infection and being diseased from a TB case. A person lived with HIV is about 20 to 30 times more likely to develop active TB.

Treatment is achievable but if no treatment patient many die an estimation mortality rate of 3 million people per year and this represents more than a quarter of the world’s preventable deaths so it can be considered as the leading fatal infectious disease , it kills more people more than AIDS, malaria, and other tropical diseases combined annually.
